November 18, 2008 Press release The Blue Moon Dinner Theatre Opens Its Doors with A Tuna Christmas
The Blue Moon Dinner Theatre, Johnson City’s brand new family-run dinner theatre, announces its grand opening with the outrageous holiday comedy A Tuna Christmas, the hilarious hit sequel to Greater Tuna, created by Joe Sears, Jaston Williams, and Ed Howard. Opening night of A Tuna Christmas is November 29th, with dinner at 6:00 p.m. and performance at 8:00 p.m.
It’s Christmas in Tuna, Texas—where the Lion’s Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies. It's 24 hours before Christmas and all comic hell is about to break loose as the delightfully screwball locals attempt to cope with seasonal traumas such as a disaster-prone little theatre production of A Christmas Carol and a yard display contest that is being sabotaged by a mysterious Christmas phantom!
With quick-change artistry and quicksilver dialogue, two actors (Tod C Riddle and Thomas Townsend) portray a host of wacky citizens—men, women, children, and animals. Here’s your invitation to spend the holidays with the madcap residents of Tuna, the third smallest town in Texas.
“It’s been at least six years since there has been dinner theatre in Johnson City and we are proud and excited to be bringing it back with such a stellar production,” says Artistic Director Edward Breese. “It’s the perfect evening out with a delectable, candle-lit five course meal and a live holiday show.”
Join us at the Blue Moon Dinner Theatre for a ten-gallon evening of dinner and laugh-a-minute hijinks.
Tickets are $39.99 plus tax with a discount(with valid ID) for Seniors, Students, Veterans and Active military. Tickets are on sale now at www.bluemoondinnertheatre.com or call (423)232-1350. The Blue Moon Dinner Theatre is located at 215 East Main Street, Johnson City, TN 37604. |
